The foundation gifted St. John’s College in Annapolis with a grant to support the Friends of St. John’s Jeff Bishop Memorial Scholarship Fund for Maryland Students. The fund goes directly to aiding Maryland students who would otherwise be unable to attend St. John’s. They also hope to encourage more young Marylanders to attend their unique Great Books program.

St. John’s College is the third oldest college in the United States. Their distinctive liberal arts curriculum and educational practices have long given them a highly respected place among American colleges and universities. All classes at St. John’s College are small and students take active responsibility for their education, formulating questions and developing their thoughts in dialogue with one another. Its strong commitment to collaborative inquiry and to the study of original texts makes St. John’s College a particularly vibrant community of learning.
