The Kathy & Jerry Wood Foundation presented Village of Hope, an after-school program located at Whitney Elementary in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a grant to continue providing their students with educational resources that allow them to thrive in their school environment. Programs such as tutoring, mentoring, youth empowerment programs, self-esteem building and education through arts and crafts offer a positive and healthy alternative when it comes to gangs, drugs, and destructive behavior.

Village of Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for children within the Whitney community to develop social skills, build confidence, and discover new interests from a variety of fun after school activities.
