The foundation supported the Freedom Service Dogs’ (FSD) Pawsitive Connection program with a grant aimed at providing character development and positive social skill curriculums for special needs children and youth. Particularly, the grant funded animal assisted therapeutic activities that take positive advantage of the developmental benefits of the human-animal relationship.

Freedom Service Dogs was founded in 1987 by Michael and PJ Roche who labored in love to turn FSD into a leading service dog training organization. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), the organization also supports veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan by providing them with custom-trained dogs to support them in their return to civilian life.
