Committed to making a difference in young women’s lives, the Sisters Academy of Baltimore was provided with annual grants from the foundation. The Academy is a Catholic, community-centered middle school that teaches girls in grades 5-8 the necessary skills to become great leaders. Upon graduation, each student is expected to demonstrate the skills of logical thinking, perceptive reading, competent writing, and effective problem solving.

Sisters Academy of Baltimore educates girls of different races, ethnic groups, and religions, from families of limited economic means, particularly those in southwest Baltimore. The Academy empowers its students to become agents of transformation in their families, communities, and society.
