The Foundation delivered a grant to the University of Maryland, Baltimore CURE Program to support low-income students in West Baltimore and help educate the students and their families about health and cancer risk in their communities.

The UMB Cure’s groundbreaking program equips sixth to 12th-grade students in West Baltimore for competitive and rewarding research, STEM, and healthcare careers through hands-on instruction and mentorship. Students develop their confidence, knowledge, motivation and skills in a science-rich environment aimed at increasing the presence of under-represented minorities pursuing the STEM and healthcare industries.
