The charitable contribution by the Kathy & Jerry Wood Foundation to the University of Maryland Baltimore Foundation (UMBF) will be used specifically for their CURE Program, providing funding for scholarships and program support to low-income students in West Baltimore. The CURE Program looks to educate families about health behaviors and cancer risks in their communities, as well as prepare children for health care and research careers through hands-on workshops, lab experiences, and mentorship.
