The Boys and Girls Clubs of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County (BGCAA) accepted a grant to help in their efforts in allowing four of their members to receive college scholarships to support them throughout their college experience. And, to enable those four members, over the course of those four years, to travel overseas to have a learning experience that no youth can gain from books and classrooms.

BGCAA was founded in 1988 by a group of concerned community members who felt there was a need for neighborhood youth to have a positive place to grow, learn, and have fun. Since then, BGCAA has expanded to five Club locations and remains in the forefront of youth development, working with all youth, including those from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances to achieve one mission: to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
